Identity Theft

Inaccurate information in your credit history can present serious, if not devastating, problems for you. Unauthorized access to a consumer report represents a significant breach of your financial privacy. The worst manifestation of these offenses may be when information is taken by a culprit with malicious intentions for the data.

Identity theft occurs when an imposter, while posing as you, obtains information in order to fraudulently obtain credit, goods, or services in your name. Once the impostor has established him or herself as you, the impostor may have left unpaid credit cards, cleaned-out checking accounts, foreclosed mortgages, incurred default judgments, and, at worst, incurred arrest warrants all firmly stuck to your financial identity.

As a result, identity theft can cost you substantial amounts of both money and/or time. At the Law Offices of Jason A. Shear, we are here to help and provide relief to victims of identity theft!
Unfortunately, when trying to clear their name, many consumers find consumer reporting agencies (CRAs) and creditors less than helpful when dealing with identity theft. Oftentimes, legal action or the threat of legal action is often necessary.

In fact, identity theft is one of the leading reasons consumers with bad consumer reports turn to the attorney Jason A. Shear for assistance. Most times our clients are being sued by a collection attorney for a debt that is not theirs or they may have mistakes on their credit report which prevent them from obtaining loans, credit cards, jobs, etc.

In an identity theft case, there are numerous claims that should be considered. If you have been a victim of identity theft, please give an identity theft attorney a call at (716) 566-8988 and speak with Jason Shear personally discuss your situation and your options for legal action.  Consumer Lawyer Jason Shear has helped clients across New York that have been victims if Identity Theft.

Feel free to call or e-mail Buffalo Identity Theft Attorney Jason A. Shear to discuss your case.
